1) whose - чей, которого; может использоваться и с неодушевленными предметами. Не обязательно должен быть человек, чтобы мы сказали whose:
📍The web is a force for truth, connectedness, understanding, and communication—all things whose absence can trigger war.
📍At a little distance from the palace we might easily mistake it for a mountain whose peaks were mounting heavenward to receive the last kiss of the departing day.
2) be/get used to & used to:
Если у нас be/get/become used to, то после него ставим герундий (-ing): I am used to cleaning up other people’s mess. А если у нас used to, то инфинитив: I used to know a guy from the UK who pronounced "mother" without the "r".
